1. Cut the Junk: 

Periodically evaluate spending money on your junk items such as cookies, crackers, prepackaged foods etc. Based on your evaluation limit or completely cut on these unhealthy foods. This would make you healthy body and wealthy wallet.

2. Eat out Less: 

This is one of the easiest way to reduce your spending s on food. Frequent visits to restaurants may not only dent your pocket but also your health. Reduce or completely stop your eat outs and spend this extra money on home food or quality food.

3. Cook Large portions:

Cooking once with large portion that is sufficient for your lunch and dinner will save your time and money. Cook once and eat multiple times. Take green salads during lunch or dinner which makes your meal nutritious.

4. Avoid Hidden sugars: 

Some packaged or processed foods contains high levels of hidden sugar. Though easy to prepare, these may contribute to serious health problems in the long run. Try to avoid white bread, refined pasta, sugar cereals etc. Opt for naturally sweet foods such as fruits, vegetables etc.

5. Go Local: 

Nowadays, You see variety foreign fruits in the shopping Malls which looks colorful and tempt to purchase. However, these foreign fruits are expensive and frozen fruits hence having less nutritious. Choose locally and seasonally available fruits at local markets or Farmer's Markets which are rich in nutrition and less in cost.

6. Meal with Millets: 

Many of us are having less exposure to Millets and neglecting them. Many of us used to take Rice or Wheat in our meals. But, Millets are rich in nutrition and comparatively cheaper price. Make it a habit to include Millets in your breakfasts / dinner. Variety breakfasts made by Millet s are available on the net.
